How our speed test works
We measure ping and jitter with repeated short requests, then download and upload with multiple parallel connections and a trimmed median of samples. Results include WiFi and your router — they are not a lab certificate of your ISP contract.

What we do not claim
- We do not claim laboratory certification or that every result matches your ISP bill.
- This site may show advertising so the tool can stay free.
- A WiFi result includes WiFi. Use Ethernet to isolate the line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can two speed tests disagree?
Different testers use different servers, file sizes, connection counts and sample windows. We report a trimmed median of multi-connection samples.
Is this the same as my ISP advertised speed?
No. Advertised plans are usually a theoretical maximum on a wired, idle line. WiFi and peak-hour congestion commonly reduce real-world speed.
Do you store my IP or test history?
The test runs in your browser. We may briefly see your IP to select a nearby edge. See the privacy policy for retention details.
